An Osogbo chief magistrate's court on Thursday ordered the remand of the baker identified as Bamidele Tijani, after he pled guilty to the charge.
According to Police Prosecutor, Inspector Abiodun Fagboyinbo, the accused committed the offence on December 16, 2013 at about 4:30 p.m., at Isale Osun area of Osogbo, Osun State.
The accused, who is a divorcee, lived on the same street with the victim and lured her into his room when she was sent on an errand by her parents and had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor.
He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol.11, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The chief magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko after ordering he be remanded, adjourned the case till December 31, 2013, for facts and sentencing.
Aluko said the adjournment was to give the prosecution time to present the facts of the case.
