Mad moustaches, fuzzy beardsand perfectly sculpted sideburns - the world's best beard competition has released snapshots from one of their hairiest years yet.
Last November, the World Beard and Moustache Championships were held in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart, Germany.
The competition, which has ran since the 1900s, has been hailed at the 'Olympics' of the beard world.
In the run up to this year's event, beard fans have been given a glimpse of what to expect in a set of amazing, never before seen pictures.
Contestants were entered into one of 17 categories, showing off their prize-winning creations including 'English moustache' and 'freestyle full beard'.
The competition even had a 'Dali' section in a homage to the eccentric, moustached Spanish painter.
Entrants to the World Beard and Moustache Championships are allowed to sculpt and perfect their facial accessories with hair products and hair pins - but are banned from adding any artificial hair onto their entry.
Judges base their scores on whether the contestant's facial hair best enhances their overall appearance, style and personality - with the winner gaining plenty of bragging points for coming top.
The next competition will be held in Portland, Oregon, on October 25 this year.

Warning Y'all: Watching porn 'makes men stupid' as scientists claim it shrinks part of their brain

Too much porn can make men stupid, scientists have revealed.
A study by German researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development found that men who watch a lot of porn generally have a smaller striatum.
The striatum is the part of the brain which processes 'rewards and motivation' - leading scientists to believe that pornographydamages this function.
They can also have less grey matter, making their brains generally smaller than those of men who rarely watch it.
The female leading author of the study Simone Kühn, did point out however, that it isn't clear whether X rated material is making brains smaller, or whether men with a decreased striatum tend to watch it more often.
She added that the striatum is less active with men who consume a lot of sexual images.
Dr Kühn said: "Moreover we found that another brain region, that is also part of the striatum that is active when people see sexual stimuli, shows less activation the more pornography participants consumed."
The study questioned 64 men aged 21 to 45 about their porn watching habits and examined who their brains reacted to pornographic images.
While it isn't clear that porn is the root cause of men's decreasing brains, it is fair to say that it could have a detrimental effect on them.

A bemused motorist recorded the clip in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which shows the animal clinging on to the back of a passing cyclist.
Unusually though, the goat doesn't seem phased by its new mode of transport - although families on the side of the road stare open-mouthed.
Ethiopians Bezaye Tesfaye and Eyob Tegegn spotted the goat and took the footage from a mobile phone.

The boy band have brought in the lawyers to work out how a video showing Louis and Zayn apparently smoking a joint leaked onto the internet.
After a crisis meeting with their management before their gig in Sunderland on Wednesday nightthe band ordered the legal team to launch an investigation into who could have made the video public and to get it taken down.
A source close to the band said: "The boys insist the footage has been stolen from them and are not happy.
"They want to get the video removed and to draw a line under the incident and move on."
Louisis thought to have filmed a 15-minute car journey in Peru using Google Glass whilst he and Zayn are seen puffing on a rolled up cigarette.
At one point Louis said: "So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days."
The band fear one of their 'inner circle' may be responsible for the video ending up online.

A woman allegedly struck the first blow: a female cousin of young, pregnant Farzana Iqbal hit her with a brick she'd picked up from a building site beside the main gates of Lahore's High Court.
Minutes later it would be all over, the pretty 25-year-old stoned to death by her own family — her father, brothers and cousins — as police and passers-by impassively watched a murder that has appalled the rest of the world.

Farzana Iqbal's 'offence' is impossible to understand for anyone living outside the medieval society that still exists in many of the poorer parts of South Asia and the Middle East.
Three-months pregnant, she had come with her husband Mohammad to Lahore — supposedly Pakistan's most civilised city — to pursue what would appear an innocent legal suit: to convince a judge she'd wed for love and not, as her family alleged, because she'd been kidnapped and coerced into marriage.

But she was to die for that love at the hands of relatives thirsting for revenge because she had defied them by marrying a man she had chosen — rather than the cousin her father had intended for her.
And in an appalling twist to this devastating tale of female subjugation, we discovered this week that Mohammad, the husband she chose, has his own dark secret: he strangled his first wife so that he could marry Farzana and escaped retribution for her murder.

Farzana and Mohammad Iqbal had arrived early on Tuesday morning this week for what would have been their third court appearance to challenge her family's claim that he had kidnapped Farzana.
Having been confronted by her relatives before another court appearance weeks earlier, they were taking no chances. Accompanied by a group of seven friends and relatives as protection, they arrived in a convoy of three cars.
But, as a devastated Mohammad told us from his home village in the Punjab district of Jaranwala, even those precautions weren't enough. For close to the gates, they were ambushed by around 20 members of Farzana's family who had been waiting for them. Many had heavy sticks and one cousin had a pistol.
As gunshots rang out, the Iqbals' friends scattered and the couple found themselves surrounded by a mob that included her father, two brothers, two male cousins (one of whom was her former fiancé) and two female cousins.
At the earlier confrontation, on May 12, the Iqbals were rescued by police officers. But this time, says Mr Iqbal, 45, her family had brought along Farzana's step-brother, a police constable named Ghulam Ali.
The constable's presence, Mr Iqbal insists, explains why on this occasion the police did nothing to avert catastrophe.
Rejecting her family's demands to leave with them, Farzana tried to run off. The man with the gun tried to shoot her, then grabbed her headscarf, making her trip and fall over.

A Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple because of religious beliefs has been told by the Civil Rights Commission that he can't discriminate against customers.
The state's commission has told Jack Phillips that his religious objections to same-sex weddings did not trump Colorado's anti-discrimination statues.
The unanimous ruling upheld an administrative law judge's finding in December that Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused an order from a gay couple in 2012, who later sued.

'I can believe anything I want, but if I'm going to do business here, I'd ought to not discriminate against people,' Commissioner Raju Jaram said.
Phillips, a Christian who owns the Masterpiece Cakeshop in the Denver suburb of Lakewood, said the decision violates his First Amendment rights to free speech and free exercise of his religion.
'I will stand by my convictions until somebody shuts me down,' he told reporters after the ruling.

Pregnant young mum drops dead while brushing her teeth (Photo)

The young mum had been discharged from Medway Hospital in May after eight days of treatment for a suspected blood clot. She returned to hospital on Saturday because she was feeling unwell, but after being checked, was sent home again. Jade, from Gillingham, Kent, was due to give birth in July but her unborn daughter, who she was going to name Dolly May, died with her. Her shocked and devastated family say her sudden death has left them with many unanswered questions. Boyfriend Michael Arnold, 28, a tradesman, said: "She was my golden girl, my rock. "I can't understand why the doctors let her out - she was obviously ill but they told her she was OK. That hospital has got a lot of questions to answer. "Jade was beautiful, so bubbly, and she loved her music. I just can't believe she's gone."

Jade's mum, Trish Chart, 49, said: "It is nice to know that she spent her last few hours with Mickey. "She got to take him to his first day at playschool on Friday and she was so pleased to be able to do that. Mickey was everything to her. "She had bought lots of things for Dolly and everything was ready. "She was the funniest, most intelligent person you could meet. She was crazy - she would ring you up at 4am for a chat. But she was so generous and so kind. She had a heart of gold."

Doctors said they had no choice but to remove the student's damaged testicle and also found bruises and welts all over this body. But Mr Lawrence actually defended those who took part in a last year, claiming the incident was "not hazing."

He told local TV station WLWT: "It was a freak accident more than anything. It definitely wasn't meant to happen, not hazing whatsoever."

According to US law, hazing is a punishable offence with a maximum of 30 days in jail. It follows a long line of incidents at US universities and colleges where male and female students have been subjected to humiliating - and sometimes fatal - initiation ceremonies in order to gain entry to sorority or fraternity groups .

The Gamma Phi Gamma fraternity, founded in 1907, has since been disbanded.

Netherlands have announced their final 23-man squad which will go to the World Cup this summer, with Louis van Gaal springing few surprises with his selection. Major names such as Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie, Wesley Sneijder, Nigel de Jong and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar star in the 2010 World Cup runners-up squad, who will look to make amends for their group stage Euro 2012 exit this summer.

Rafael van der Vaart is the most notable absentee but his omission was already confirmed after he picked up a calf injury in training with the Oranje set-up this week. Jasper Cillessen, Michel Vorm and Tim Krul were chosen as the three goalkeepers by future Manchester United boss Van Gaal, who sent home uncapped PSV shot- stopper Jeroen Zoet.

Chelsea full-back Patrick van Aanholt and young Manchester City centre-back Karim Rekik, both of whom spent 2013-14 on loan in the Eredivisie, were also axed from the final Dutch squad.

Youthful forwards Jean-Paul Boetius and Quincy Promes - who have a cap each - will not be on the plane to Brazil, while uncapped midfielder Tonny Vilhena is the final name to be excluded from Van Gaal's final selection.

Spain have announced their 23-man squad which will travel to Brazil this summer for the World Cup, with Diego Costa making the cut while Fernando Llorente, Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo have all been omitted. ‘She’s my best friend’: Frank Lampard opens about his relationship with fiancée Christine Bleakley

Frank Lampard has opened his heart to talk about his relationship with Christine Bleakley. The Chelsea footballer said during an interview with Red magazine, that his TV presenter love is his 'best friend'. 'People say opposites attract, but when you live together, you need to be harmonious, and she's my best friend,'

Lampard, 35, told the magazine. 'She's made me content,' he continues. 'That sounds soppy, but I've been very happy since I've been with her.
Our personalities are very similar. I've got a lot of respect for what she says – she's sharp. 'I bounce my problems off her, and I'd like to think I help her with her stuff, too.'

Frank also reveals how much he loves the fact his daughters, from his relationship with Elen Rivas; get on so well with Christine, 35. '[Christine and the girls] will now gang up on me,' the footballer said.

'For me, that's great, because going into a relationship, the step-parent role is hard. To get to the point where I see the girls saying,

"We've got Chris, and we're doing this," is brilliant.' He added: 'I had a year of being a single dad and it was tough.

Even now, we have our moments – when I've come back from work and I've lost, and they've made a mess in their room, you get frustrated. 'It's certainly helped me having Christine and the bond that has grown between her and the girls.'

With his daughters now nearing their teenage years, Frank says he doesn't want to spoil them, so they can go out and earn their own money when the time comes, and appreciate it more. He said:

'Emotionally, I give them loads and as much time as I can; and at Christmas and birthdays, I do my best – but I don't want to get carried away, because I don't want a brat of 13 or 14. 'I want them to go out and earn their own money and enjoy it. They get £5 a week pocket money, but they have to make their beds, tidy their rooms and show good manners.'

He may soon be seeing a lot more of his girls as Frank is unsure how long he'll be at Stamford Bridge, or in the game of football. 'I don't know if I'll be at Chelsea next season... you know your shelf life, so I started to mentally prepare when I hit 30. I've been doing this for a long time, so there's a part of me that's looking forward to the future.'

Shelly Sterling has sold the L.A. Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a whopping $2 billion.

As TMZ Sports reported ... the deal was signed just before midnight Thursday.

The NBA must approve the sale, but our sources say NBA commissioner Adam Silver has been well aware of Shelly's negotiations with Ballmer and other potential buyers and will support it.

Donald Sterling has made rumblings he may challenge the sale, but he will almost certainly fail. TMZ Sports broke the story ... Donald gave Shelly sole control over the team -- allowing her to sell it -- and even sent a letter to Silver affirming that Shelly had the reins. As for Ballmer ... he vowed Thursday night to keep the team in Los Angeles. Ballmer is entrenched in Seattle -- which currently has no NBA team -- and even made a bid to buy the Sacramento Kings and move the team to the Emerald City. It's pretty remarkable -- just one week ago, it appeared Silver would force an involuntary sale of the team, but Shelly and her lawyer, Pierce O'Donnell, took the initiative to solicit bids and ended up with a buyer pretty much everyone can get behind.

Official: Wenger signs new Arsenal contract

Arsene Wenger has penned a three-year contract extension at Arsenal, the club have confirmed.

As revealed by Goal, the Frenchman agreed an extension in principle in October but, since that time, a two-year deal has become three after the Gunners returned to winning ways with triumph in the FA Cup final .

"I want to stay and to continue to develop the team and the club. We are entering a very exciting period," he told the club's official website. "We have a strong squad, financial stability and huge support around the world. We are all determined to bring more success to this club.

"The club has always shown faith in me and I'm very grateful for that. We have gone through fantastic periods and also periods where we have had to stick together.

"Every time when that togetherness was tested I got the right response. I think I have shown some loyalty as well towards this club and hopefully we can make some more history. I am sure we can."

Wenger turned down a £1 million-per-year pay rise in March in agreeing the broad strokes of the deal. And, despite the contract remaining unsigned as the season drew to a close, the Frenchman began earnest discussions with chief executive Ivan Gazidis in April about the club's transfer plans for the summer .

Still, Wenger harboured a private determination to see what Arsenal could achieve before the season closed, with a top-four finish and FA Cup victory thought to be key to his eventual decision on a new deal.

Arsenal have long been confident of their legendary boss, who passed 1000 games in charge of the team this season, prolonging his spell at the Emirates Stadium, with director Lord Harris claiming in May that Wenger was "always staying". Upon confirmation of the extension, chairman Sir Chips Keswick added: "[Wenger] is a man of principle, who lives and breathes Arsenal.

"He has established Arsenal for its exciting playing style around the world, continues his commitment to young players and has the ability to bring top-class players to the club. "I have no doubt we have an exciting future ahead of us with him leading the team."

The Gunners did go on to finish fourth in the Premier League this season, guaranteeing a 17th consecutive year of Champions League football for the club.

She hid her face with what looked like a laptop case as she followed her husband to the waiting vehicle. Kanye was also dressed in black and kept his hood up to protect him from the rain while some hulking bodyguards were nearby with umbrellas.
