The Premier League star with sticking power: How Giggs has changed his look through 21 years at the top with United

The Premier League sticker-book is a staple diet for supporters, but there can't be many who have managed to collect all 21 of Ryan Giggs' mug shots.

As the midfielder celebrates his 40th birthday, Sportsmail takes a look at the changing face of the Manchester United legend.

Here we see how the haircuts, stance and smiles have changed since the fresh-faced Welsh winger embarked on one of the most-decorated careers English football has ever seen.

The official Topps Premier League sticker-book began a year after the Premier League's inception for the 1992-93 season - and he's been there every step of the way.
From then we've seen Giggs go from looking nervous to jolly to stern.

There could even be a case for saying he looks a little smug in the 1999-2000 picture. That, of course, would be understandable given United's treble triumph just months beforehand.

This year's picture portrays a man who has seen it all.

And after a magnitude of trophies and a glittering two decades, this is how the man so many supporters idoloise has appeared through the largely good times.
