Those Fighting Jonathan Are Fighting God – ex-Minister Clark

A prominent Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, declared those fighting President Goodluck Jonathan because of 2015 are actually fighting God, who, he says, made it possible for him to become President.

The former Minister of Information also warned that anyone planning to split the country would fail while speaking at his residence in Abuja during the meeting with the Federal Capital Territory chapter of South-South community leaders, chiefs and elders.

Chief Clark insisted that the Constitution permitted Jonathan to run for the Presidency twice, adding that as a lawyer, who had practised for 50 years, he always laughed when educated people said Jonathan could not run for the office on the basis that he had been sworn-in twice.

He further noted that former President Olusegun Obasanjo imposed former President Umaru Yar'Adua on Nigeria.

Chief Clark noted that since Obafemi Awolowo and Adekunle Ajasin died, the Yoruba have had no leaders, adding that former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu was wasting his time, moving about, calling himself the Yoruba leader, saying "money cannot buy leadership."
