Eminem unveils 'aggressive' new track Survival, the first taste of what to expect from his forthcoming eighth album

Little is known about Eminem’s forthcoming eighth studio album, but expectant fans have had their appetites whetted with the unveiling of a brand new track called Survival.
The aggressive, rock infused song has been used in a trailer for video game Call of Duty: Ghosts and is the first taste of what to expect when the 40-year-old rapper drops his eagerly anticipated new album later this year.
Featuring vocals from Skylar Grey, Survival sees Eminem back on form as he prepares to release his first collection of fresh material since the release of 2010 album Recovery.

That LP featured collaborations with the likes of Pink, Lil Wayne and Rihanna – whose duet on Love the Way You Lie earned them a number one hit in twenty countries and Eminem a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance.
Further details about the new album – including a title and official release date - are yet to be revealed, but the rapper will be hoping to replicate the success of his last release when it finally drops.
Speaking NME, record producer Alchemist – a long term collaborator – said that Eminem was ‘just getting back on his feet’ with his last two records, Recovery and its 2009 predecessor, Relapse.

Meanwhile fans have been tweeting their appreciation of the new track on micro-blogging site Twitter, with many posting choice lyrics, amongst them ‘They said I was washed up, and I got a blood bath/I’m not a rapper, I’m and adapter’ and ‘I must be allergic to failure, ‘cause every time I come close to it I just sneeze.’
Versatile rapper, producer and actor Sean 'P Diddy' Combs has also been tweeting about new track, which follows hot on the heels of new albums from Kanye West and Jay-Z.
He wrote: 'Damn it's a good week for Hip-Hop!!! Made one of the greats Eminem drop a record!!! This what's been missin!! (sic).'
