Gatekeeper, 38, Accused Of Sodomising Colleague After Drugging Him

Lagos - An Abule-Egba Magistrates' Court in Lagos heard a case of homosexual assault.
According to the prosecution, 38-year-old Sali Malu committed his crime on March 23 at his own place of residence. His fellow gatekeeper went to Malu's room to charge his phone. The accused Malu has offered him some food he had previously drugged. After eating the food, the complainant woke up to painful sensations in his anus and discovered some leftover semen in it.
The accused Malu is facing a two-count charge of sexual assault and causing breach of peace. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Ruling on the bail application of the accused, the Magistrate granted the accused a bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case has been adjourned to May 5 for mention.
