Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after dislocating his shoulder in the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid - while captain John Terry was also taken off injured.
Cech collided with Raul Garcia as both players competed for a cross before landing awkwardly in the goal mouth.
The 31-year-old immediately signalled to the bench while a throng of players from both sides surrounded him. Chelsea medical staff eventually ushered him off the field swathed in a blanket as he cradled his right arm in obvious pain.
Cech was taken to a local hospital in Madrid where he will be treated for a dislocated shoulder, although he appeared in good enough spirits to pose for a picture posted on the clinic's Instagram page (above).
However, manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that his first choice keeper will play no further part this season - while Terry has a chance of returning for the Champions League final should Chelsea overcome Atletico in the second leg.
Mourinho said: 'Petr Cech's season over. Don't ask me technically, but season over. And John - we have to play the final for him to play with us.'
