Man burns down house to kill spider

When firefighters in Kenfig Hill, South Wales responded to an apparent routine call they were probably expecting that someone must have burnt the lamb shanks. But when they got to the distressed caller’s house, they discovered the man had set fire to the house trying to kill a spider, the Telegraph reports. He apparently sprayed the scary arachnid with an aerosol before lighting it on fire. An unimpressed spokesman for Mid West and Wales Fire (MWF) Service advised humourlessly that people should stick to conventional methods of removing spiders from their homes
