| With the current Ebola Virus Disease in the country, a woman who is scared of contracting the deadly virus, yesterday, smashed a beer bottle on a man’s head for hugging her in Ajah area of Lagos State. According to Leadership, the woman identified as Bunmi was said to have been angry when her friend, Ademola Ojikutu, held her from behind without her consent. Her elder sister, Yemi, told Leadership that her sister was afraid of contracting Ebola and had since refused to shake anybody including her (Yemi). Yemi said she was discussing with her sister, Bunmi, at Ilaje area when Ojikutu held her from behind. Yemi said her sister was enraged and, out of anger, picked a bottle from a nearby beer parlour and smashed it on his head. She said blood gushed out from his head and people had to rush him to a nearby hospital in the area. The sister, Yemi however said her sister’s reaaction to the man wasn’t right but that the man was also wrong to hold her from behind when she was not his lover. The Ebola Virus has been described as the worst ever outbreak by the World Health Organization. The WHO in a recnt survey stated that the outbreak has claimed the lives of over 1,000 globally. Meanwhile there are reports that Nigeria’s confirmed number of Ebola cases is 12, with four infected person |
