The 26-year-old's departure was confirmed on Thursday and the Danish striker is now available on a free transfer.
Bendtner was joined on the released list by Bacary Sagna, Lukasz Fabianski and Zak Ansah, who have already completed permanent moves to Manchester City, Swansea City and Charlton Athletic respectively.
Ju Young Park was also let go, while Kim Kallstrom and Emiliano Viviano's loan spells have ended.
