PHOTOS: Nigerians Protest Mistreatment By Malaysian Police And Nigerian Embassy Officials

Nigerians living in Malaysia organized peaceful demonstration against extortion, torture and abuse of Nigerian nationals by Malaysian police and immigration officers, on Tuesday, 15 April.

Several dozen young men carrying placards took to the streets and confronted Nigerian embassy officials at the Nigerian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
People were сalling to stop extortion, torture and abuse of Nigerian nationals by Malaysian police and immigration officers.
When came alongside with embassy officials they decried the apathetic attitude of officials in the Nigerian consulate.
According to the protesters, the embassy officials refuse to issue or renew their passports when needed, moreover, the Nigerian Ambassador has completely abandoned them.
Thus they are left to their own and have no possibility to resist police mistreating Nigerians in the country.
