PDP Insists APC Governors Were Invited To Jonathan's Security Meeting, Accuses Them Of Terrorism

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is insisting that governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, were invited to Thursday's meeting of the National Security Council in Abuja to find solution to the current security challenge.
In a press statement by the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, the party claimed all governors were invited and that the APC shunned the meeting because it was unhappy that security agents were closing in on the perpetrators of the Nyanya attack.
This is despite theadmission by the Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum, Godswill Akpabio, that the 16 APC governors were not at the meeting because they were not invited.
The PDP has also accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of aiding and abetting terrorism in the country through "omission and commission''.
According to Metuh, APC proved their support for terrorism when it shunned the Thursday meeting called by the Federal Government.
"Actions Speak Louder Than Words! When we said that the All Progressive Congress, APC, as it is presently constituted, aids and abets terror in Nigeria by omission and commission, some Nigerians doubted us. But what further proof can there be of the culpability of the APC than the decision of its governors to shun the National Security Council meeting called by the President to deliberate on ways to bring the sponsors of terror and their foot men to book? Government is different from politics and it is quite unfortunate that in the pursuance of politics APC Govs shunned a meeting to secure the nations integrity and protect the lives of Nigerians," the statement read.
Metuh said APC governors do not shun meeting where their financial interests would be taken care of but when it comes to security meetings, they are nowhere to be found.
Metuh called on Nigerians to be conscious and read the body language of the APC as they may make the appropriate noises from time to time, but in the fight against terrorism, their actions are saying something different.
