Now that Roberto Carlos has hung up his boots, there is a new contender for the title of 'most ridiculous leg muscles in football'.
Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri was pictured in training on Monday ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United, and one thing stood out.
Possibly not since thatpicture of Carlos posing in just his underpants has a player shown off such freakishly muscular legs.
Shaqiri's monster calves appeared huge even next to team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger's, whose own shins were covered in painful-looking cuts and bruises.
Having scored in Saturday's 3-3 Bundesliga draw against Hoffenheim, the Swiss midfielder will make the trip to Old Trafford hoping for a spot in the team on Tuesday night.
But the 22-year-old rising star has scored seven goals in 23 appearances for Bayern this season but is likely to be forced out of Bayern's starting line-up in Manchester by the likes of Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and Mario Gotze.
