Cristiano Ronaldo hopes four-year-old son Cristiano Jr. becomes footballer

Cristiano Ronaldo has told Telegraph Sport that he hopes his son follows his in his footsteps by becoming a professional footballer.

Real Madrid forward Ronaldo, 29, is considered one of the greatest talents to have graced the game, with the 80 million pound signing from Manchester United winning numerous accolades and breaking several records.
The Portugal international became a father in 2010 and he is hopeful that his now four-year-old son, Cristiano Jr., aspires to follow in his footsteps.
He said: "I dream of that, but he can do whatever he wants. I would love Cristiano to be a football player, but these matters I cannot decide.
"I made sure to bring him here because I just love being with him, playing with him."
After last campaign's Champions League success made it a historic 10th European crown for Real, Ronaldo is targeting further glory and personal record-breaking, with his 17 goals in the competition a new feat.
"Well, it was a fantastic year," he said. "We won the Champions League, we won La Decima, the trophy that Real Madrid had been looking for a lot. So this season we're going to try to do the same, to win the Champions again, to win La Liga.
"And in terms of individual achievements I'm going to try to break my own records. I know it's tough, but I'm going to try."
