Angelina, 38, has written an original script and is said to be in the early discussion stage to co-star with 50-year-old Brad, according to Deadline.com.
The Oscar-winning actress and budding director is currently working in post-production on her film Unbroken, which follows the true story of Olympic runner-turned-WWII POW Lou Zamperini.
Angelina impressed with her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood And Honey.
She voices the part of the iconic Disney villain in Maleficent, which hits US theatres on May 30.
