The funniest penalty ever? Maldives striker falls flat on his face during run-up... but jumps back to his feet before scoring

Adey Ashadh Ali went to extravagant lengths to try and fool the opposition goalkeeper during a penalty shoot-out.
The hilarious incident took place as Maldives beat Afghanistan on penalties in a third place play-off in the AFC Challenge Cup.
During the shoot-out the Maldives striker scored one of the most bizarre penalties ever, as during the build-up to the spot-kick he literally fell flat on his face.

As the no 12 ran up to take his penalty he appeared to clip his own ankles and dive dramtically to the ground, only to quickly get up and bury the ball past a distracted Afghan keeper.

Whether the penalty should have stood according to the laws of the game was a matter up for debate.
