Hillary Clinton: "Jonathan's FG Have Carried Out Their Own Atrocities, Are Derelict in Addressing Schoolgirls' Kidnappings"

Hillary Clinton, a former United States Secretary of State, U.S. Senator, and First Lady of the United States, has criticized Nigeria Government's lack of willingness to address the recent kidnap of over 200 female students by theBoko Haram terrorist sect.

In a recent interview, Mrs. Clinton described the Chibok girls' kidnap as an abominable"act of terrorism,"and said the Nigeria's government approach to protecting the country's children as"somewhat derelict". Shecondemnedthe "slow reaction" of the FG, noting that the situation demands"the fullest response possible".
She calls the kidnap a"failure of local law enforcement, local community support and then the entire national government."
Also, appearing at an International Crisis Group award dinner in New York City, Mrs. Clinton criticized President Goodluck Jonathan's security forces for perpetrating"their own human rights abuses"and"failing to confront the threat or address the underlying challenges of poverty, lawlessness and despair"in Nigeria.
She expressed appreciation for the U.S. President Barack Obama's decision todeployAmerican Army troops to assist Nigerians. She, however, observed that, despite the willingness of the international comunity to support Nigeria, it is up to Nigeria and her neighbors to align and launch a"coordinated effort to rescue the girls and bring their kidnappers to justice."
