So it makes sense that at some point, it would be time for Keanu Reeves to go grey and begin the inevitable balding process.
As the 49-year-old screen legend hit the blue carpet for the Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday, a whitish patch on the back of his scalp and an array of greys suggested that the time is drawing nearer.
Keanu looked every bit the dapper, handsome gentleman in his well-shaped beige suit, which he teamed with an elegant grey shirt and tie.
A pair of light brown suede explorer boots added somewhat of a youthful edge to the Point Break star's ensemble, whilst his handsome, unshaven gaze surely drew the attention of onlookers.
His dark, lengthy locks were casually pushed back behind his ears as he posed with his hands in his pockets at the star-studded event by the beach, where he was set to present awards.
It wasn't until closer inspection that an array of grey hairs could be spotted in his beard, as well as what looked like it may have been a bald spot on the back of his head.
The small white patch was well hidden beneath the forest that was Keanu's famous, tousled hair.
But the actor who helped bring us such wonders as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and The Matrix did not seem fazed by the aging process, instead focusing on giving his best enigmatic smile on the carpet.
