In the last few weeks Drake and Rihanna have been inseparable as the singer has been following him around on tour, and they are said to be getting serious.
But in order to take their union to the next step the Nothing Was The Same rapper has reportedly insisted Rihanna completely let go of her links with Chris.
According to the Daily Star, the All Me hitmaker is jealous of Rihanna's ex and the fact that they are still in contact.
They also report that Drake, 27 - real name Aubrey Graham - is looking to get serious with the Bajan sensation but will not do so while she still talks to Chris.
'Drake and Rihanna are just having fun at the moment,' reports the a Daily star insider.
'Neither of them are relationship people but Drake has made it clear that if things are going to get serious with them, he doesn't want her speaking to Chris.
'They are never going to get along properly.'
Keeping away from her ex-boyfriend shouldn't be too hard for the Good Girl Gone Bad hitmaker, because he has just spent the last week in jail.
LA Captain Mike Parker, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Headquarters, released a statement explaining that Chris was being 'held without bail' at the Inmate Reception Center of the Los Angeles County jail in downtown LA.
He said: 'The warrant was issued related to assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats crimes which occurred on February 7, 2009, in the City of Los Angeles.
The warrant was issued for a probation violation related to his conviction.'
And he may be given more time behind bars, depending on how his court case goes this Monday.
His lawyer, Mark Geragos, is planning to ask the judge to let Brown be released and find another rehab.
Since the alleged ultimatum Rihanna has jetted back to New York and was seen out partying in a club on Friday night.
According to Page Six she went straight from the airport to The Raven nightclub in the Meat packing District to see her friend DJ Spade, and spent the night drinking and dancing.
Drake famously became involved with a physical altercation with Chris Brown, who was convicted of domestic violence after assaulting her back in 2009 - at a New York nightclub in 2012, with the spat said to have stemmed from an argument about the pop beauty.
