Frank Lampard has buried the hatchet with old foe Cesc Fabregas after completing his move to New York City FC.
The midfielder was unveiled in Brooklyn on Thursday, signing a two-year deal with the emerging MLS franchise.
Lampard left Chelsea earlier in the summer following a trophy-laden spell at Stamford Bridge.
Ironically, Fabregas - who was signed by Jose Mourinho earlier this summer - is viewed as Lampard's replacement at Chelsea.
The duo haven't seen eye-to-eye in the past - clashing on the pitch on several occasions. But Lampard has backed his rival to be a success at Chelsea next season.
'I'd hate to put pressure on him. What I've done at Chelsea will never change.
'I hope they do well - Cesc and myself have had our battles in the past but I wish him the best because I wish Chelsea all the best.'
Lampard, 36, will now turn his attention to deciding his club and international future after confirming his move to the Big Apple.
New York City FC do not enter the MLS until the 2015 season, leaving Lampard in limbo for eight months.
He has been linked with loan moves to Manchester City and Melbourne City FC in the interim and Lampard said: 'It's not clear yet what I'll do before 2015 - but I'll definitely be keeping fit. 'We are exploring a few options.'
