Remy to Liverpool deal is OFF after France forward fails medical

Loic Remy's £8.5million move to Liverpool has dramatically collapsed after he failed a medical.
The France international had flown out to Boston earlier this week after Liverpool had met the release clause in his contract and he had agreed personal terms before beginning his fitness assessment.
Given Liverpool have been based in unfamiliar surrounds, the medical had taken longer than normal to conduct but when the results came back, Liverpool decided they had no other option but to pull the plug on the move.
Having sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona, they must now decide whether they look elsewhere for another striker as Daniel Sturridge and Rickie Lambert are the only senior strikers.

Liverpool have declined to comment on the specific reason they have withdrawn from the move but it is understood that the 27-year-old is devastated that his dream move to Anfield has fallen through.
It is the second blow for Brendan Rodgers in the space of 48 hours after he lost Adam Lallana, his £23.6million signing from Southampton, for six week after he damaged his lateral collateral knee ligaments in training.
Rather than flying back to England, Lallana – who does not need surgery – will stay with Liverpool's squad for the remainder of their US tour in order to get to know his new team-mates but there is no disputing his frustration.
