Unlike manygrooms, Kanye West was very involved with the details of his Italian wedding to Kim Kardashian on May 24.
And one brilliant touch was having famed Italian tenor send Kim, 33, up the aisle to the strains of Ava Maria before serenading the pair of them as they prepared to make the biggest commitment of their lives.
The Black Skinhead star, 36, chose a traditional yet epic song for this moment in the form of Andrea's hit Con te Patiro, which is better known in English speaking countries as Time To Say Goodbye.
Bocelli recorded the English translation with Sarah Brightman and it's release in 1997 saw it become a smash hit in 21 countries, including the United States.
It apparently made an unlikely impact on Kanye, then 20 and living in his native Chicago.
The notorious perfectionist certainly looked happy with his choice as Bocelli's deep mellifluous voice crooned across the vista point at Florence's Fort Belvedere while Kanye looked into his wife-to-be's eyes.
The lyrics of the song describe a lover bidding goodbye to all adventures that don't involve their beloved, as they vow to travel the world together forever.
And given that Kimye have ticked off Paris, Florence, Cork and Prague in the past month, it seems a fitting choice.
