Army Chief Kenneth Minimah Vows To Eradicate Terrorism In Nigeria

Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, has vowed to stop violence and insurgency in the country.
Speaking in Abuja on Monday, the military official assured people that all the security forces were taking the reasonable measures and were actively cooperating with government ministries and bodies to set up peace and ensure law observance.
Minimah was quoted saying by PM News:
"One of these measures is the modernisation of equipment to enhance our operational capabilities in line with contemporary threats."
Delivering his speech at the Armoured Vehicles West Africa Conference, he thus stressed the importance of the opportunity to communicate with various equipment experts to discuss the relevant developments in this sphere.

"Our interactions over the next two days would enable us to gain strategic insight into innovation that could increase the mobility and survivability of our troops in both internal security and peace support operations."
It would be recalled that only a week ago Abuja residents were thrown into panicas the deadly explosion rocked Emab Plaza of the country capital. The alleged bomber was shot and one suspect was arrested in connection with the attack, which claimed at least 21 lives.
