Princess Adila Is A Modern Face Of Conservative Saudi Royal Family

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is known as an extremely conservative country in all the aspects of life. However, you may be surprised that a very influential female member of the Saudi Royal Family is a beautiful, modern woman, who doesn't mind going out in public wearing only a scarf on her head and showing a bit of her hair!

Adlah bint Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz Al Saoud is the daughter of the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The importance of her role for the country is increasing, because she acts as the public face of her father: participates in welcoming foreign delegations, attends plays and events and even poses for photos with young women and men.

You may be surprised to know that this modern lady advocates for the freedom of women, including their right to drive, among others, and believes that "Al Niqab" is more of a tradition, while the scarf is more of what Islam calls for!

Adlah sees that there is a real problem withunderage marriagesand calls for setting the rules straight and setting an age for marriage.

She also sees no problem in women and men working side by side, as long as there's mutual respect and laws that indict harassment.

Does she make for a good model for the Saudi women?
