Wife-Abusing Ex- Akure Monarch's Pleas Were Not Considered, a New Deji of Akure Is Throned (PHOTO)

A new regent, Princes Adetutu Adesida Ojei, was installed to fill the throne of the Deji of Akure which became vacant onDecember 1, 2013, after the death of Oba Adebiyi Adesidafrom an undisclosed illness.

A controversy around this posted started after the deposed former Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oluwadare Adepoju Adesina, has writtenan emotional letter of consideration to the Ondo state government begging to reinstate him as the paramount ruler.

Nevertheless, it had no effect and Princes Ojei, a pharmacist based in the United Kingdom, and the first female child of the late Oba Adesida, became the ruler of AkureLand.

Our best wishes to her.
