A Cardiff City fan, Andrew Isidoro, has produced a league table that records the amount of followers for all 20 Premier League clubs, updating itself regularly.
According to the Metro , Manchester United only set up their own Twitter account earlier this year and are feeling the effects as they sit in fifth place.
The Red Devils, the most well-supported English club in the world, have quite a few fans in England as well, but it seems that not enough of them are following their club on Twitter.
Chelsea sit second with a huge following of 2,724,762 followers. But the Gunners, whose following on Twitter is also tremendous, boast 2,741,927 followers.
Liverpool sit in third, followed by Manchester City.
Ironically, the three promoted clubs Hull City, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace, prop up the table. Bottom side Hull have just 51,453 followers.
Arsene Wenger will be hoping Gunners fans can show similar support during home matches this season and perhaps the north London side will surprise everyone and top the real Premier League table at some point in the current campaign.
