Today Google pays homage to what would have been Leonidas da Silva's 100th birthday - who was widely regarded as the inventor of the "bicycle kick".

Today, on what would have been his 100th birthday, Google celebrates the legendary man who showed the world the acrobatic "bicycle kick" during a match between his side Bonsucesso and Carioca.
The tricky Brazilian, who turned to management after retiring in 1950, is rumoured to be the first player to attempt the acrobatics in 1932.
He was known as "The Black Diamond" or "Rubber Man" due to his acrobatic exploits on the pitch, showcased in particular during his prolific seven-year spell at Brazilian giants Sao Paulo.
He finished as top scorer at the 1938 World Cup and throughout his international career, he scored 21 goals in 19 appearances.
Da Silva died in January 2004, aged 90.
