Arsenal fans knew that the German international was good, but did they know he was THIS good?

Arsenal signing Mesut Özil
is the joint-highest assist maker in Europe over the last two years - tied with one Lionel Messi.
The
German international was a deadline surprise for Gunners fans, and when
they see his stats for the last couple of seasons they will be even
more delighted.
Last season, nobody made more key passes per game than the Gelsenkirchen-born playmaker as he averaged one every 22.1 minutes.
Only starting 23 league games last season, he chipped in with nine goals of his own as well as laying on 13 for teammates.
In the Champions League, only Mario Götze and Zlatan Ibrahimovic set up more goals - although both played more games.
