Manchester United wanted to engage with supporters when they asked for questions aimed at Michael Carrick - the idea being that they would formulate the base of an interview with the midfielder for the club's official programme.
It didn't turn out quite as planned, however, as the hashtag
#AskCarrick was inundated with
inane and ludicrous questions.

Carrick bore the brunt of fan frustration at David Moyes' struggles this season.

United have lost eight times in the Premier League already this season, their worst ever haul since the division's inception, and are 15 points off table-toppers Arsenal.
The 2-1 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday rather summed up Moyes' start to life at the champions. Injuries, bad luck and poor finishing did for them at the Britannia Stadium.
When handed the opportunity to quiz Carrick, United's support made sure their ill-feeling towards the campaign's woes were seen.

Tom Cleverley came in for particular stick - seen by many as the major weak link in United's side - while Carrick's style of play came under scrutiny.
One cruel rival fan asked if the central midfielder was aware that Jon Flanagan had scored more than him this year. Another asked 'How many times has Mata tried to make a run for it since signing?'
Another posed: 'Is Cleverley as annoying to play with as he is to watch?'
Maybe they'll think twice in future.

YET AGAIN: Nollywood Actor's Marriage To Former Governor’s Daughter Has Crashed

The marriage between Nollywood Actor, Ibrahim Chatta and his wife, Salamatu Lafiaji, the daughter of former Kwara State governor, Senator Shaaba Lafiaji, has crashed.
You will recall that Chatta and Salamotu got married in April 2013, shortly after his first marriage crashed due to allegation of wife battering which he emphatically denied.
Ibrahim had maintained that his ex-wife, Olayinka Solomon, never stayed at home, or bothered to take care of their child. This, he said, was what drove him into the arms of Salamat in the first place.
Disputing that he married Salamat for her wealth, Chatta had said "Truthfully, Salamat is a beautiful woman and she's from a well-to-do family, but if I intended to marry for money, I wouldn't have been available when she came along
Some of my very good fans and friends can testify to the fact that I searched for well over two years for the right woman after the relationship between me and my baby mama turned sour, even on social media like Facebook. I am not a gold digger like some people wrote about me" he declared when the going was still smooth. However, the short-lived union has hit the rocks.
According to report, the couple started having problems shortly after their marriage due to class differences.
According to a popular magazine, "Salamotu, who comes from a wealthy home, was not too comfortable with the living conditions in Chatta's home, and this put a strain on the relationship until two weeks ago when she finally moved out of the house."
When contacted, Ibrahim Chatta refused to deny or confirm the report, as he kept mum.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed how he criticised former Spurs manager Andre Villas Boas in front of teammates.
The Togolese forward was exiled from Villas Boas' side during a poor run of form which eventually led to the Portuguese's sacking in December.
Adebayor disagreed with Villas Boas's tactics and says he made his point during a training session. "I told him: 'Your ideas will not help the team'," the 29-year-old said.
"I have had a chance to play for a lot of top clubs in my career and I know how it's supposed to be. "I told him one v one and he didn't want to listen, and then I told him in front of the group.
"Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe it was a good one, maybe it was a bad one. I don't know, but I spoke my mind." The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has since returned to the starting line-up under new Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood and scored six goals in 10 matches - a run he puts down to a desire to prove doubters wrong.
"I remember in early September when I went back home and did an interview saying it would not take me long to be the number one striker again in Tottenham, a lot of fans, not everyone, jumped on that [saying] 'Oh, who does he think he is," Adebayor told Sky Sports.
"These are the things that give me more motivation and these are the things that keep me going.
"When you wake up and you realise that there are a lot of haters out there and you want to prove them wrong, you just keep focused and keep doing what you love best, which is playing football, scoring goals and having fun."

REVEALED: The secrets of Fergie time and ex-United boss's dirty tricks, according to former top ref Gallagher

Former referee Dermot Gallagher has lifted the lid on Sir Alex Ferguson's intimidation tactics.

And, with figures showing 'Fergie Time' has been slashed since the Scot's departure, the official has revealed the pressure referees were under during Manchester United home matches.

Gallagher recalls one particular episode when United were chasing the title in 1997 - which they duly won - and welcomed Middlesbrough to a sodden Old Trafford.

'It was chucking it down with rain and Fergie pulled me aside and said "do me a favour, call the game off'," Gallagher told Sportlobster TV.

'I asked why and he said "there's nowhere else to fit this game in and the Premier League will have to extend the season. We'll have a better chance of winning the match and we'll win the league at Old Trafford".

'At half time United were losing 3-1 and the pitch was like a swimming pool. As we came off he said "I know we're 3-1 down but please call it off, we could do with a hand here".

'They managed to pull it back to 3-3 and in the last minute Dennis Irwin ran into the box and went down in front of the Stretford End and I only gave a goal kick.

'At full-time Fergie sprinted across the pitch and shouted at me furiously. My wife said, "Fergie had a right go at you about that penalty didn't he".

'I told her he hadn't mentioned the penalty. She asked why he came tearing across the pitch at me then. The truth is he ran over and asked me if I was going out to dinner that night. I said "no" and he asked "why are we leaving so early then?".'

Indeed, Ferguson's ability to squeeze every last second out of officials when his side were losing has since been highlighted.

With United trailing at Old Trafford under their former boss, an average of 79 seconds extra was played in added time.

However, this compares to just 40 seconds extra under his successor David Moyes.
Gallagher went on to reveal the anxiety caused by not awarding key decisions to United.

'Years and years ago one of the referees had a heart monitor on during a match at Old Trafford,' he explained.

'They were assessing it and suddenly it jumped and went through the roof. They looked at the DVD and he'd just turned down a penalty in front of the Stretford End. The pressure is immense.'

NABBED: How Clarence Peters stole concepts, footage for Ice Prince and Tiwa Savage music videos (Pictures)

It's none other than video director Clarence Peters, whom we've caught not only jacking off concepts for his video shoots but toying with copyright infringement and intellectual property theft on an international level.

Clarence is by far the most prominent and consistent music video director Nigeria has ever produced. This man has shot close to 500 music videos, right from his starting days with DJ Tee at 'The Alliance' to setting up his own CAPital Dreams production outfit. Who hasn't Clarence clicked the record button at? But he must have been too busy to create an original concept for Ice Prince's 'VIP' music video, which was released via YouTube on June 21, 2013.

The video, which was shot and directed by Clarence Peters, is a total rip-off of US rap group SlaughterHouse's video 'My life' feat Cee Lo Green (released a year earlier on June 20, 2012). Not only does Clarence Peters shamelessly copy the major highlights of the video, he goes ahead to steal footage and implement them in Ice Prince's video. If this was done without SlaughterHouse's permission, Clarence's action puts Ice Prince and his record label Chocolate City in BIG trouble. Ice and Choc City should ask him for a refund, they'll need it if/when Interscope Records (SlaughterHouse's parent record label) comes knocking with a lawsuit.

NET reached out to Chocolate City over the 'swagger jacking', however, the label's rep has not responded to our enquires.

Clarence Peters' team also decided to remain silent when NET reached them. Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, South African rapper Tumi Molekane accused Clarence Peters of stealing the concept of his music video 'Asinamali' to shoot Tiwa Savage's 'Eminado' music video. The latter was almost a carbon copy of the former. Check out the screenshots from Ice Prince's video, compare them with the 'original version' from SlaughterHouse' and tell us what you think…
